If you're taking regular medication, you may be able to request a repeat prescription without seeing your doctor.
Before approving a prescription, our clinicians review your medical history, recent test results, and any relevant specialist recommendations. This helps ensure you're receiving the right medication and dosage while maintaining safe, high-quality care.
Not all medications are suitable for repeat prescriptions. Your clinician will advise if yours qualifies.

How Repeat Prescriptions Work

Submit Your Request

Request your repeat prescription through our practice channels. Please contact reception if you are unsure how to submit your request.

Clinical Review

A clinician will carefully review your request, along with your medical records and any relevant health information.

Prescription Processing

Once approved, your prescription will be prepared and sent to your nominated pharmacy or provided according to your request.

When an Appointment May Be Needed

For your safety, a repeat prescription may not be approved if:

You haven't seen your doctor in the past 6 months

Your condition requires a clinical review

Monitoring or follow-up tests are overdue

Your medication needs reassessment

In some cases, we may ask you to book an appointment before issuing a further prescription.

Processing Times

Please allow up to 48 hours for repeat prescription requests to be processed. Requests submitted on Friday or during the weekend will generally be ready by Tuesday.
We recommend requesting repeat prescriptions before you run out of medication.

Need It Urgently?

If your prescription is urgent, please let our team know when submitting your request. Urgent prescription requests incur a $10 urgent processing fee.
